2013 OFFICIAL SELECTIONS

The following films have been seleted to be screened at the 2013 Late Night Horror Film Festival.  They are all entered into this year's competion and will be judged by a panel of local arists and professionals in the film and television industry. Award categories include BEST HORROR FILM,BEST DIRECTING, BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY, BEST EFFECTS BEST SOUND, BEST ACTOR, BEST ACTRESS, BEST PRODUCING, BEST LIGHTING, BEST EDITING, BEST SCREENPLAY, and the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD

When dreams become nightmares......A teenage boy who dreams to become a ventriloquist like his father. But his father Gustaf stops him from achieving his dream.Cecil seeks out why his father denies him his great dream as such.He then finds out the why straight from his father's own Ventriloquist dummy.

BLOOD SLAUGHTER MASSACRE

Ten years ago, Officers Fincher and Cobb were called out to investigate a noise complaint, and what they found was far worse; 24 people, murdered in cold blood. The murderer escaped, and the Havenwood Police Department covered it up, inventing a story about an out-of-control fire. Barely escaping with his life, Fincher tried to put it all behind him by drinking it away. Now a Detective, he is investigating the death of two young girls. After meeting some of the local teenagers, Fincher gets a tip from the Coroner, telling him that the Ripper has returned to finish what he started a decade ago. With no one on his side, Fincher must find out how these girls fit into the Rippers plan, and stop him before it's too late.

In a post-apocalyptic land consumed by "Rottens", a simple farmer and his teenage daughter struggle to survive. Meanwhile, an unruly gang make a plan to kidnap and sell the daughter for their own selfish profit. With the farmer/gang confontation, a wicked tornado approaching, and "rottens" everywhere-who will get out alive?

CANDY FOR KALI

Kidnapped and thrust into a mysterious chamber, a young teenager named Bridgette desperately tries to figure out where she is and how to get out.  The three inhabitants of this  “Lord of the Flies” microcosm, encased in concrete walls, have been living under a set of commandments/rules with ties to a cultish Hindu religion.  The kidnapper, (or maybe God-like figure) keeps a watchful eye on the teenagers, if any of the commandments/rules are broken, the one who’s been there the longest goes to “the rack” to be tortured.  As clues about the environment are revealed, Bridgette devises an escape, culminating in the ultimate crescendo of horror – the final commandment.  The four children are forced to make the most difficult decision imaginable…  “The only way to become the spirit is the give up

the flesh!”

An anarchists warlord of the wasteland known as The Veteran has created a doomsday device to end the world as we know it. Now the government must reach out to ex special forces agent now death row inmate Gavin Green to get to break into the compound or risk the destruction of the free world.
